Celebrate Best Friend’s Day!

CELEBRATING BEST FRIENDS!

THE URBAN FLOW
Best Friends are two words used to describe someone that you cherish dearly. It is such an honor to have someone in your life that trusts you and you trust in return. There is no competing on any level. Just a sincere, unadulterated bond that’s not easily broken.

Best friends are not easy to come by. It takes years to build a relationship to the point that you consider each other best friends. Years of phone conversations, celebratory events, life events – good and not so good, weight gain, weight loss, hairdo’s, disagreements, shopping, lost love, new love, hugs, birth announcements, marriage announcements, first day of school, high school graduations, college, careers, promotions, and the list goes on.

It’s funny how best friends can complete each other’s sentences and know what each other is thinking. That does not mean that you are exactly alike. In fact, you may be the opposite of each other in many ways. The differences add so much character and mystery to the friendship.

It’s amazing when two friends connect on a level with each other that doesn’t exist with anyone else, anywhere in the world. The crazy and funny “girl-talk” that leaves you in stitches and the “Ah ha” moments that you share makes it worth all the time spent building such a friendship.

One of the best parts of having a best friend is knowing that no matter what, you have each other’s best interest at heart. You tell each other the good, the bad, the ugly and still care for each other just the same.

You “always” have their back in public but tell them the real deal in private. Those “tag team” moments when a situation necessitates it, are by far some of the best times best friends can experience together.

I am so blessed to have a BFF in my life and to hear her tell it, she feels the same way about me. Truth is, she feels more like my sister than anything else. A friendship can’t get much better than that. Thank God For Best Friends!
