Koryn Hawthorne’s “Won’t He Do It” Hits #1

Koryn Hawthorne, known for being a finalist in season 8 of NBC’s reality tv’s singing competition The Voice, has quite a bit to celebrate. Her song, “Won’t He Do It” has hit the number one spot on Billboard’s Gospel Digital Tracks.

The hit song off of her debut project, the Koryn Hawthorne EP, which was released last year, remains a top hit on multiple Gospel charts. It’s at #4 on the latest charts for Billboard’s Hot Gospel Songs and #7 on Gospel Airplay.

Hawthorne was born in Louisiana and has been performing since she was 9 years old. Before auditioning for The Voice, Hawthorne held a part-time job at Little Caesars.

20 years of age, Koryn is a force to be reasoned with. She has appeared on the Dove Awards and her collaborative work with Grammy winners Warryn Campbell, Aaron Lindsey and Bernie Herms has captured the attention of notable performers in the gospel music industry. Her modern sound, fresh perspective and positive songs has also inspired many of her fans.

And, if that’s not enough, Koryn Hawthorne has been honored with 2 nominations in the upcoming 2018 Stellar Gospel Music Awards for New Artist of the Year and Contemporary Female Vocalist of the Year.

We look forward hearing and seeing a whole lot more from Koryn Hawthorne
